I met and connected with SO many amazing couples yesterday. Thanks to all who came by my booth (at One Love LGBTQ wedding show) to say hello. Whew! We’re always pretty exhausted after big wedding shows but also still on a major high. Can you believe that a real couple actually won their wedding?!
That’s right, I teamed up with wedding industry friends to give away a wedding to one lucky couple via online voting. There was a beautiful ceremony, followed by a cocktail reception in the VIP Lounge and it was so exciting!
For my booth design, I chose a soft, spring colour palette with marble accents. This modern black flatware really popped against the white linens. Yummy little sugar cookie place cards were my favorite element of this tablescape! That would be a really fun little personalized favor, don’t you think? Finally, since chair signs are really popular right now, I added “Better Together” chair signs, but you could easily use two Bride or two Groom signs!
I knew that I wanted a customized stationery suite, so I come up with a couple of gender neutral names that anyone could relate to; Taylor + Jordan. Then my hypothetical couple needed a fabulous 3 course dinner, so I came up with a really delicious meal and sent my design ideas to the stationer!
Shout out to all my fellow VIP sponsors, who made one couple’s wedding dreams come true. Also, props to all our wed industry friends who had booths at this LGBTQ wedding show, because Love Is Love!
If you or a couple you know is looking for guidance or vendor recommendations who value equality and acceptance and kindness, I’ve been compiling a data base of them. I’m also here for you whether you’re planning a non-traditional or a semi-traditional wedding, so get in touch!
